Common questions
Are the worksheets free?
Yes, all three. Each is a one-page PDF you can download and print with no sign-up and no email address, and there is nothing to unlock. They can also be filled in on screen if you would rather not print.
Which worksheet covers which question?
The paycheck sheet covers what is left after the bills due before your next pay; the sinking funds sheet covers bills that arrive once or twice a year and the slice per pay each one needs; the bill calendar lays one pay cycle out day by day and marks the low point.
Do the three sheets work together?
Yes. The sinking funds sheet produces a figure that carries into block 2 of the paycheck sheet, and the bill calendar uses the same list of bills laid out across the days of one cycle. Each one also stands on its own.
What size paper do they print on?
A4, and they print on Letter too. Each sheet is a single page, so one print run per pay cycle covers it, and the PDF can be filled in on screen instead.
Do I need Keep Above to use them?
No. Each sheet is arithmetic on paper and needs nothing but a pen and your own figures. Keep Above runs the same arithmetic from bills and income entered once and projects it forward day by day, which is the part the paper sheets do not cover.
Do they work outside New Zealand?
Yes. Nothing on the sheets is tied to a country: they take a balance, a list of bills, your pay dates, and amounts written in whatever currency you use. Keep Above has no bank connection either, so it works the same way anywhere.
