Keep Above helps you plan ahead by calculating a target balance based on the bills and income you enter. The idea: if your real balance stays at or above that target, you've planned for every upcoming bill you've told the app about. You add the data; the app does the math.
Yes. The free tier includes one checking account, bill and income tracking, savings goals, the calendar view, and projections up to one year ahead. Premium unlocks additional accounts, savings and credit features, and longer projections.
No, and you can't. Keep Above is manual-entry by design — we don't ask for bank logins, card numbers, or account details, and we don't connect to any financial institution. You enter what you want to track. (Important: because Keep Above isn't connected to your bank, it doesn't move money, pay bills, or know your real balance unless you enter it. You're responsible for actually paying your bills from your bank account.)
It's a target balance Keep Above calculates from the bills and income you've entered, allocated based on when each bill is due and when you've told us your next income arrives. It's a planning estimate, not a guarantee — its accuracy depends entirely on the information you enter. Always verify against your own bank records before making financial decisions.
A sinking fund is a method commonly used in personal finance planning where you mentally set aside a small amount regularly to cover a future expense — instead of being surprised by a $300 annual subscription, you'd plan for about $25 a month in advance. Keep Above does this calculation for every bill you add. (Note: the app doesn't move or hold any money — it shows you the math.)
Projections are estimates based on what you enter. They don't account for unexpected expenses, missed bills, bank fees, or anything else outside what's in the app. Always verify against your own records before making financial decisions.
Up to 5 accounts, savings accounts with APY interest projections, credit accounts with APR and payoff planning, and projections up to 10 years ahead.
Premium starts with a 30-day free trial. After the trial, it's USD $6.99/month base price (a yearly option works out cheaper than monthly). Local pricing is set by your app store and may vary by region — see in-app for current local pricing in your currency. You can cancel anytime during the trial and you won't be charged.
No. You won't be charged during the 30-day trial. If you cancel at any point at least 24 hours before the trial ends, you pay nothing. If you don't cancel, your subscription begins automatically when the trial ends and you're charged the regular subscription price.
The cancellation steps are the same whether you're in a free trial or a paid subscription:
To avoid being charged at the end of your trial, cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends. You'll keep Premium features until the end of the trial period you signed up for.
Open Keep Above → Menu → Premium → Restore Purchases. Make sure you're signed into the same Apple ID or Google account that originally bought the subscription. If it still doesn't restore, email support@keepabove.com with your purchase confirmation from Apple/Google and we'll help.
Refunds are processed by the app store, not by us:
If you're in a country with statutory consumer-rights remedies (such as New Zealand, Australia, or the EU/UK), those remain unaffected.
Yes. Sign in with the same account on your phone, tablet, or new device and your data follows you.
Your data stays in your account. Reinstall, sign in, and it's there.
You can delete your account from inside the app: ["Menu → Profile → Delete Account"]. This permanently removes your account and the data we hold for you.
If you can't access the app, you can also request deletion via our data request form: https://keepabove.com/delete-my-data. We'll action the request within 30 days.
Keep Above is intended for users aged 17 and over. We don't knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we'll remove it.
No — Premium is tied to the account that purchased it and isn't shared via Family Sharing at this time.
